From its inception 20 years ago, Vacheron Constantin’s Historiques collection has featured re-interpreted legendary timepieces from the watch Manufacture’s archives, subtlety reinterpreted. Produced in small quantities for collectors of rare pieces and vintage watch lovers, the collection is a perfect fit for Hodinkee’s online sales site, the Hodinkee Shop – a destination since 2012 for unique vintage wristwatches and watch accessories.
Hodinkee’s mission with the Hodinkee Shop is to make purchasing fine modern timepieces a convenient and easy experience. As such, each and every timepiece in the Hodinkee Shop will be shipped free, fully insured, and next day to the consumer’s doorstep.
This partnership comes on the heels of the successful launch of Vacheron Constantin’s Historiques Cornes de Vache 1955 Limited Edition for Hodinkee in February 2017. The 36 piece limited edition watch, priced at $45,000 USD, sold out via a reservation form on Hodinkee’s website in under one hour.
In addition to online availability in the Hodinkee Shop, the Vacheron Constantin Dress Watches Replica Historiques collection can be found in a large network of our partner’s stores around the world. A full directory of these partners can be found on our website at www.vacheron-constantin.com.
The new Historiques Triple Calendrier watches are both suspended in Vacheron’s 4240 view from what the brand requires a “golden age” for watches together with those complications — and aesthetics. The 4240 was popular, and such triple calendar watches are believed to have significantly contributed to Vacheron Constantin’s reputation at the moment. While the first was 35mm, which could be considered quite small for a contemporary men’s opinion, the remakes are bigger but stay average in size for modern tastes. In reality, both the 1942 and 1948 watches reveal the same dimensions of 40mm wide by 10.35mm thick, water-resistant to 30m. The Vacheron Constantin Watches Official Site Replica Historiques Triple Calendrier 1942 and 1948 watches have cool (in my opinion) textured instance sides that I will explain as ribbed, for want of a better term. Each model also shares the increased “box-type glass” over the dial — since the manufacturer’s info does not make any further reference to the material used (and they do mention the caseback’s display window remains sapphire), I wonder whether they went with some kind of mineral crystal to maintain it more straightforward to the vintage originals. The Vacheron Constantin Historiques Triple Calendrier 1948 comes at a more comfortable case in 18K pink gold using conventional lugs — also, of course, carries a moonphase indicator incorporated into the 6 o’clock sub-dial. Besides the moonphase, both the 1942 and 1948 watches share the same functions and base motion, with day and month in rectangular apertures at the peak of the dial, the date indicated by a “pointer” hand across the dial’s periphery, along with a sub-dial for the seconds at 6 o’clock. Discrete pushers at the face of the instance are utilized to adjust the various calendar (and moonphase for the 1948) data. The Vacheron Constantin Historiques Triple Calendrier 1942 steel watch has printed Arabic numerals for the hour mark, whereas the Vacheron Constantin Historiques Triple Calendrier 1948 gold watch has a combination of applied Roman numerals and triangular markers.
